A very popular sweet dish that is widely cooked on the special occasion. It is usually made with condensed milk, vermicelli and cardamom powder.
Ingredients:
- Vermacelli 1 pack
- Illaichee 6-7
- Pistachios few
- Almonds few
- Oil 4 tblsp
- Sugar 3/4 cup or to taste.
- Dry nuts few
Method:
- Crush the sawaian small.
- Now in a pan take oil and add the illachis.
- Fry for a while and now add the sawaian.
- Fry till they appear a bit crispy and brown for a about 5 to 10 minutes on medium heat.
- Becareful not to burn them.
- Now add enough water that it cover the sawaian.
- Add sugar. Now cover the and let the water dry.
- Check the sugar to taste n slow the heat for dum for 10 minutes.
- After dum they r ready.
- Add nuts to garnish.
- Serve hot.
