Italian Beef Sandwich Recipe



Ingredients:

  • 1 pound roast beef
  • 1 1/2 cup beef stock
  • 2 large green bell peppers, seeded
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic, minced

Method:

  1. In a large frying pan, stir together the sliced bell peppers, water, tomato paste, bay leaf, and garlic.
  2. Heat to a boil, then reduce to simmer.
  3. Slice the roast beef very thin, then place in the pan along with the peppers.
  4. Leave uncovered and cook for 15 minutes.
  5. Serve in long rolls.
