Ingredients:
- 1 lb Mutton / Goat meat, cut into small cubes
- 1 Small Onion
- 2 Tomatoes
- 2 green chilies
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 2 tsp pepper powder
- 1 tbs coriander powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tbs garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tbs ginger, finely chopped
- 1 cup diluted coconut milk
- 1 bayleaf
- 2 cloves
- 2 tbs coconut oil
- Coriander leaves
- salt, to taste
Method:
- Grind onions, ginger, garlic, tomatoes and green chilies to a fine paste.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add the bayleaf and cloves and cook for 20 seconds.
- Add in the ground paste and cook for 5 minutes or until the oil seperates.
- Add in the cumin powder, turmeric powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.
- Add the mutton pieces and stir well to coat the spices. Add the coconut milk to the mutton mixer and mix.
- Check for salt.close the lid and leave upto 5 whistles.
- When the pressure is released, open the lid and add in the pepper powder and coriander leaves.
- Cook it for another 5 to 7 minutes until the water evaporates and becomes dry.
- Serve hot with rice or roti.
