Ingredients:
- Beef – 2 kg
- Ginger – 1 large piece
- Garlic pods – 7 – 10 nos
- Black pepper(whole) – 1 tsp
- Coriander powder – 2 tsp
- Red chilly powder – 1 tsp
- Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Tomato (large size) – 1 no
- Vinegar – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – as reqd
- Oil
Method:
- Clean beef(boneless) and cut into small cubes and keep aside.
- Make a paste of ginger, garlic, black pepper and 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
- Mix beef with this paste along with some salt.
- Cook it well in a pressure cooker(apprx. 20 miutes).
- When its done, separate beef cubes from the gravy and keep aside.
- Heat some oil in a non stick pan.
- Add coriander powder, chilly powder, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder and garam masala.
- Saute it for a minute on a very low flame.
- When it turns light brown colour, add the gravy(separated from beef) and saute this for 2 or 3 minutes, till the oil starts to separate.
- Add tomato and vinegar one by one and saute again.
- When oil separates, add the cooked beef and stir it well.
- Cook this, till it becomes dry and dark brown.
