Almond (Badam) Milk



As we all know that almonds are good for heath. 20-25 almonds contain as much calcium as 1/4 cup of milk, a valuable tool in preventing osteoporosis. Almonds are the best whole food source of vitamin E, in the form of alpha-tocopherol, which may help prevent cancer. If you’re pregnant, almonds are a great source of the folic acid you need! Almonds contain more magnesium than oatmeal or even spinach. Build strong bones and teeth with the phosphorus in almonds.

Ingredients Of Almond Milk

  • 1/2 liter milk
  • 2-3 small cardamom
  • 7-8 almonds
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. ghee

Method Of Almond Milk

  1. Put almonds and cardamom into a blender and make a paste out of it.
  2. Then take a pan and heat ghee and add almonds paste in it, and then fry for few seconds.
  3. After that add milk and sugar and cook the milk until the milk is ready, and then serve hot in a drinking glass. Garnish it with chopped almonds.

Sambhaaram



Ingredients:

  • Buttermilk(Moru) – 4 cups
  • (Blend homemade yoghurt and water. The readymade ones won`t be good for this)
  • Green chillies – 2 nos
  • Ginger – A small piece
  • Lemon leaf – 1 no(optional)
  • Curry leaves – A few
  • Salt – As reqd
  • Mint leaf(Pudhina) or Coriander leaf for garnishing

Method:

  1. Blend all the ingredients in a blender.
  2. Pour into a a tall glass with some ice.
  3. Garnish with a sprig of mint or coriander.

Ingredient:
  • 2 cups fresh yogurt chilled
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cardamom
  • 2-3 Pistas (Pistachio)
  • 2 drops pista essence
  • 1 tsp. hot milk
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice
Method:
  1. Make coarse powder of pista
  2. Mix sugar in yogurt till well dissolved.
  3. Just before serving combine all ingredients.
  4. Whip well with a hand or electric beater.
  5. The lassi is ready when it is light and frothy.
  6. Serve well chilled."
