Ingredients:
- Carrot(grated) – 250g
- All purpose flour(Maida) – 2 tbsp
- Milk – 2 cup
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Ghee – 3 tbsp
- Cardamom powder(Elakka) – As reqd
- Cashew nuts(chopped) – 10 to 15 for garnishing
- Raisins(Onakka munthiri) for garnishing
Method:
- Peel the carrots and grate them.
- Heat the flour and the milk.
- Add the carrots and sugar. Stir well.
- Add ghee and stir again.
- Keep the lid closed in between stirrings, as there maybe some splashes, when the milk and ghee boil together.
- When the milk condenses and the halwa begins to thicken, remove from flame.
- Garnish with cashews, raisins roasted in ghee and Cardamom powder.
